Money Problems
Difficulties with money are part of modern life as it is said that the average British family owes more than £10,000. Bankruptcy and debt are escalating problems.
There are many causes of money problems apart from the obvious one of poverty. Those below are some of the commonest:-
- Inadequate savings (3 to 6 months of living costs is regarded as sensible.
- In the current climate in Great Britain there is a major risk of overextended mortgage repayments, default leading to eviction and being made homeless.
- inadequate life and disability insurance, to cover the unexpected problems.
- No plans for retirement (the income drop is a big shock unless you are prepared).
- incomplete use of available tax deductions (these can make a big difference to your income).
- Overuse of credit cards and pushing their limits.
This page is to help those who need advice and constructive ideas about resolving that problem.
