Money Problems

Author Information

by mike last modified 2007-11-19 17:51

Difficulties with money are part of modern life as it is said that the average British family owes more than £10,000. Bankruptcy and debt are escalating problems.

There are many causes of money problems apart from the obvious one of poverty. Those below are some of the commonest:-

  1. Inadequate savings (3 to 6 months of living costs is regarded as sensible.
  2. In the current climate in Great Britain there is a major risk of overextended mortgage repayments, default leading to eviction and being made homeless.
  3. inadequate life and disability insurance, to cover the unexpected problems.
  4. No plans for retirement (the income drop is a big shock unless you are prepared).
  5. incomplete use of available tax deductions (these can make a big difference to your income).
  6. Overuse of credit cards and pushing their limits.

This page is to help those who need advice and constructive ideas about resolving that problem.
