Natural Remedies, Natural Cures or Comfort, Healing or Helping
There are many extravagant claims made about some alternative therapies. These include the use of the "C" word. In this context that means "cure".
The editorial board are suspicious of any therapy that does make such claims in the absence of well presented clinical evidence of a curative effect.
We will look out for the use of the following words and phrases in correspondence and evidence and react accordingly:-
Aid, allay, alleviate, assuage, care, comfort, correct, cure, ease, get better, get rid of, heal, help, lessen, lighten, mend, mitigate, palliate, relief, restore, remedy, stop.
Some of these do imply cure and evidence for those claims will given stricter scrutiny.
