Natural Cures for Osteoarthritis
Osteoarthritis is a wear and tear condition of the joints in which the smooth cartilage that lines the joint surfaces is worn away and forms ridges, lumps and sticky gaps that interfere with movement. The joints typically affected are those in the back, hips, knees and small joints of hands and feet. See also Rheumatoid Arthritis and Back Pain.

Modern Western Medicine
A full range of drugs from simple pain killers such as Paracetamol; NSAIDs (Non Steroidal Anti Inflammatory Drugs) like Meloxicam (Mobic), Naproxen (Naprosyn), Nabumetone (Relifex), Etodolac (Lodine) and Diclofenac (Voltarol) is used. Hip replacement and knee replacement of worn out joints is commonplace these days and is commonly performed. Less commonly so for shoulders and the small joints of hands.
