Hellerwork
An American engineer called Joseph Heller developed Hellerwork. It is a very vigorous treatment intended to loosen up the elastic membrane called the fascia that surrounds each muscle. It is based on the idea that stress causes tightening in the fascia leading to poor posture, pain and general dysfunction because the balance of the body is disturbed. The course of treatment lasts for eleven sessions during which the feelings associated with the intense massage are explored with the intention of making permanent the bodily and mental changes achieved.
