Acupuncture
These are techniques of stimulation of special points on the body which lie on 12 main meridians through which circulate the vital force of the human body (Qi). There are 365 acupoints situated on these meridians at which qi can enter and leave the body and at which it is concentrated. Acupuncture involves the insertion of needles into the body to suppress or stimulate its flow.
Acupressure is a technique involving the same points but no needles are used. Pressure of various sorts is used over the points to produce its effects.
Auricular Acupuncture is based on the chinese foetus representation where the foetal body is mapped on the ear and the point on the ear that represents ths ill part is stimulated either by needles or electrically by an acupunctoscope to relieve the problem.
