Natural Cures for Endometriosis
Endometriosis is a condition said to affect 10% of women. Some of the womb lining instead of being shed during a period migrates to other parts of the body, principally within the abdomen, where it undergoes bleeding with the period. This typically causes pelvic or lower abdominal pain with or around the period, and abdominal upset. The pain may be very severe and lead to prostration. It needs a modern western medicine diagnosis and modern western medicine is the mainstay of treatment.
Endometriosis Treatments
Modern Western Medicine
Drugs such as Danazol, and hormonal preparations such as progesterone are the commonest forms of treatment. As the intention is to adjust the hormonal production there are potential side effects and problems. Surgery to remove the womb, ovaries and bleeding parts is undertaken in some cases.
