Natural Cures for Irritable Bowel Syndrome
Irritable Bowel Syndrome is a condition that affects about 20% of the population. It causes bowel upset with a range of symptoms from diarrhoea to constipation, bloating, abdominal pain, backache, nausea, vomiting and fatigue. It can be caused by food intolerance, stress or have no known specific cause.
N.B. If your symptoms include passing of slime, bleeding or weight loss or have been slowly worsening without relief you must see your doctor for a firm diagnosis.
Irritable Bowel Syndrome Treatments
Modern Western Medicine
Drugs for diarrhoea include Lomotil and Imodium; drugs for sickness include Dicyclomine and Stemetil. These all have side effects and only suppress the symptoms, they do not cure the underlying cause.
