What is Stress?

Stress Causes

Stress causes an insidious build up of the various pressures of living until the person's coping mechanisms fail. Highly rated stressors include divorce, relationship problems, pregnancy and childbirth, bereavement, unemployment and serious health issues such as cancer and MS - multiple sclerosis. Diagnosis of any of the health issues we note is likely to be a significant addition to a person's stress levels.

Stress Symptoms

This can lead to expression of various problems such as panic attacks, depression, addictions, and anger

Post Traumatic Stress Disorder

Post traumatic stress disorder - PTSD is a specific problem caused by a serious life event like accident or bereavement and leads to flashbacks and all kinds of adjustment problems. It is a much more intractable problem than the normal stresses that people suffer, but responds to the same natural remedies.
